Zor: Well, I’d rather face a dozen bears than listen to Spark’s lectures. Are you still upset about the blood transfusion?

場面：地球の北極圏にある秘密の研究基地。雪に囲まれた通路を、ゾーとトキが歩いている。失敗した任務からの脱出直後。
ゾー：なあ、なんで俺たちはあの科学者の言葉を信じて北極なんかに来たんだ？
トキ：あの女は「ホッキョクグマは洞窟に2人の神が入っても気にしない」とか言ってたからだろ。馬鹿げてる。
ゾー：まあ、クマと戦う方がスパークの説教を聞くよりマシだよ。それより、お前まだ輸血のこと怒ってるのか？
トキ：針のことじゃない。人間の血が自分に影響を与えるって発想がムリなんだよ。ゾッとする。不快だ。
ゾー：仕方なかったんだ。あのままじゃ凍死してた。神だって助けがなきゃこの寒さには耐えられない。
トキ：ニヤリとしながら それが逆に、兄上よ、俺はけっこう頑張ってたんだよ。お前が俺を氷のプールに落とすまではな。
ゾー：ちょっとした事故だ。ちゃんとびしょ濡れになる暇もなかったろ？
トキ：今も靴が濡れてるんだが。
ゾー：それより、テイムダルが言ってた。この地球の地下深くに、並外れたエネルギー源が眠ってるって。
トキ：ラテン語か。やたら劇的なんだよな。「Terra（テラ）」って。ミッドサルドの言葉で最新の表現使えば「Earth」だろ。
ゾー：お前の機知は相変わらず、顔に微妙なハンマーをくらわせるような感じだな。
トキ：お世辞なんかで誤魔化すなよ。それで、実際にそのエネルギーを見つけられる見込みはどれくらいなんだ？
ゾー：高い。でも、ウォーディンなら絶対に禁じるだろうな。危険すぎるってさ。
トキ：なら黙ってよう。俺たち、もっとやばい掟も破ってきたし。
ゾー：それもそうだ。でも今回は、有能なやつがテクノロジーを扱わないとまずい。
トキ：それで俺を選んだってわけ？
ゾー：お前しか信じられる奴がいないんだ。地球をヤギに変えたりしないってな。
